Program Descriptions

Pi Yo

PiYo combines the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages of yoga. A PiYo workout consists of flowing sequences that burn calories, lengthen and tone your muscles and increase your flexibility. Every PiYo session helps sculpt and define your whole body while working to minimize the aches and pains that can come along with high-impact workouts.

BCA provides the yoga mats required for this class, but participants are also welcome to bring their own. Please wear comfortable athletic clothing and bring a water bottle and a small towel to each class.

Stretch and Sculpt

Stretch and Sculpt focuses on functional strength while using resistance training, balance and bodyweight exercises to improve overall strength, endurance and posture.

BCA provides the equipment required for this class. Please wear comfortable athletic clothing and bring a water bottle, indoor shoes and a small towel to each class.

Core Strength and Stability

Core Strength and Stability is a high energy muscle conditioning class that tones and shapes your hips, thighs, butt and abdomen. Exercises incorporate stability balls, hand weights, and medicine balls and are designed to target and tone the entire core and lower body.

BCA provides the equipment required for this class. Please wear comfortable athletic clothing and bring a water bottle, indoor shoes and a small towel to each class.

Beginner Yoga

Beginner yoga is an introductory class for participants with little to no yoga experience. The focus will be on learning the basic poses with an aim towards body awareness, posture, and balance. The instructor will tailor the class to meet the participants’ fitness levels and provide alternate poses suitable to a varied range of abilities.

BCA provides the yoga mats and props required for this class, but participants are welcome to bring their own. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle and a small towel to each class.

Intermediate Yoga

Intermediate yoga is suitable for individuals with some yoga experience and will build on the poses learned in beginner sessions. The focus will be on learning more advanced yoga poses with the goal of building strength and improving balance, flexibility and body awareness, all while decreasing stress.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is a famous traditional Chinese martial art. This foundational class draws together components of Yang and Woo Style Tai Chi (improved energy flow and increased energy levels), Yi Jin Jing Chinese Yoga (safe and efficient stretching), and Anapanasati Meditation (focused breathing to improve overall physical and mental health).
